Exploring the melodies in your creative process.

Music is wonderful, it's uplifting when you need a boost, it's comforting when needed and it's reminiscent at those moments in life when we need to be connected. Music joins people together, it reaches out to us and inspires.

So, with all that in mind, i thought why not infuse those music connections with art and create dazzling, mixed media and acrylic creations that are inspired by music, a harmonious fusion of two creative worlds.

When we listen to music we adore, the limbic system, responsible for managing emotions and memory, becomes activated, causing us to experience pleasure. Conversely, songs that do not resonate with us have minimal response from this part of the brain.

When we make music ourselves, music, along with the effects of endorphins, not only makes us feel good but also helps us connect with others.

It's amazing isn't it!

Now can you understand why I have a need to combine music with art and weave the two together?

Creating music-inspired art has no definitive right or wrong approach; it all comes down to the individual artist. For me, it's about the personal connections I feel with a song, the colour palette that resonates, the marks I make as the music plays, and my interpretation of the lyrics, among other elements.

It truly is a unique and cherished experience that I thoroughly enjoy!
